edit: ok well the fuel pump is coming on and i can smell a hint of gas when i push on the pedal while trying to start it.. i took off a spark plug wire and held it over the distributer plug with someone turning the key and saw no sparks at all.. i tried a few wires with the same effect no spark coming through

it won't arc that far. Pull a plug and rest it against the engine while cranking. If still no spark... coil, ignition module, or ECM or the power to them is screwed. You also might want to make another thread for this issue.
