Look at what I've been doing the past two days!

I've really been busting my butt on getting this thing fixed up for summer, check it!

Got my drivers side doors 90% smoothed out and refinished, and I also removed my trunk to refinish it and take care of some needed body work and rust repair!

My two helpers are in the back working on the blue bomb.

    Pics!

    Trunk being refinished...

We definately drove the car to the next town like this to get lunch, lol.

Half green, half black! Smooth as silk!

Awesome! It's gonna be sweet once it's done.

Next time you go for some grub, pull the hood too, and have half the engine bay wiring hanging over the fender, in a plastic grocery bag, and bungee corded back to the mirror. Oh, and run an open h-pipe, too. Good times, I tell you. Good times.

Well, it had a Maaco paint job done on it before I got it. Then after owning it for about a year and a half, I decided to redo it my way. I wasn't good at bodywork and it turned out bad, especially after the black paintjob! The car was silver, btw.

So this is technically it's third round lol.

There are only two spots on the car (so far) that I won't be able to get relatively straight. Rear driver's door has a crease popping outwards on it where the trim used to be, got it looking fairly decent though. Front passenger fender where I got hit over the summer I was able to mold back into shape for the most part, but it also has an outward crease/bend I couldn't shape out.

Black paint hides nothing. People can find tiny dents in my Mark VII that would be invisible with white paint. It sucks, but it forces you to make it right.

So I went out in the rain lastnight and shot a photo with my camera phone of the door wet... just to give an idea of how the body work on my driver's door turned out...
