for a second there I thought that was a diesel block heater. I probably bought the last NOS one on the planet though. There is an aftermarket one that fits but it isn't made right. On that one above you can see the raised lip that keeps it from being pushed into the block too far. Aftermarket one doesn't have that. Engine gets hot, it pushes out against the toggle bolt. Engine gets cold, and it just sucks the heater into the block and coolant pukes out. Stupid.

Here's an interesting item: a cassette tape placed in every Ford with AM/FM/Cassette player that year. It's to demonstrate the audio system and was produced by CBS Special Products for Ford. My mom’s 87 Turdbird has one of those tapes that came with it. While her car doesn’t have it, the optional graphic equalizer in those was always on my wishlist for a box, but there is no where for it in the dash.

Get a look at this...
This was Andrews car that he listed on BAT: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...rown-victoria/

The Gateway Classics got a hold of it.

Hope they lose money on it. Shady character. I laughed at their ebay rating and some feedbacks.
Ridiculous.
It’ll never make their reserve, whatever it is. I’d guess 6k they want.
You said shady and nailed it.

I hope they lose money too. Clowns. Fuckin' people. Always want to cheat the first guy and pass the profits onto themselves. "Always want to play but they never want to lose."
If watching Vanguard Motor Sales has taught me anything, these guys will get their $6k asking price or beyond, unfortunately. Their ability to take hi res pics after cleaning things up just enough and photographing at the right angle & using buzzwords like "numbers matching" just gets the old fucks with money & nostalgic pride to come calling with wallets out like you wouldn't believe. If you want to vomit, watch Vanguard's testimonial videos...

Gateway is just acting as a consignment outfit this time. I’m thinking the person who bought it gave it to them and said I’d like to get XX for it. No sweat off their back and if it works they made out. If not they aren’t out anything. Making a profit on something isn’t always a bad thing.
Car was advertised on BAT which is pretty well known for getting top dollar. If someone wants to pay above BAT well then I wouldn’t stop them.
So what you're saying is, you've done this. "Slave to the money then ya die." and "Always want to play but never want to lose."
Making a profit on something you've owned and put work into is one thing, flipping is another.

This is the point that I really like to stress. I have ZERO problems with someone buying a car and fixing things making it better then selling it. But just blatantly purchasing a car and then trying to get more for it without doing ANYTHING is really annoying. It is not illegal so you cant do squat but pout about it.
Exactly. It's just a character thing for me.

It’s a capitalist world guys... someone put their money out there in hopes to make a profit.
I hear you from one side but also understand the other side. I myself could think of easier/better ways to make money than trying to flip 35 year old Panthers, but to each his own.
