YOU KNOW WHAT IS ALSO BAD ABOUT THE 1985 CV? THE FREAKING CAPS LOCK EVERYWHERE.
Seriously, these are the basics of the netiquette. My eyes are aching after reading first five-six sentences of that description!
So I wonder if they really wanted to do the family truckster conversion... or did they just do it for investment purposes?
Cars can be investments for some people but I sure like driving and messing with mine without thinking about what it might do to the value. That 7000 mile Tudor would be very hard for me to drive because I’d ruin the value, so it’d be no fun. Fun to look at. Not so much fun to own.

Hey now, they put stickers on the rear bumper, a cheezy plaque on the dash, homemade quality license plate, and a garbage bag of... garbage... on the top to look like dear aunt Edna. That has to count for something, right? I mean, it totally looks JUST like the family truckster now, LOL.

The link to the September sale has what I think is a clue to the current asking price. There is a market value graph for Ford Country Squire, but it is for 1949-1991. Despite this being a higher value panther wagon, due to great condition, it still brings that market average down when lumped in with more valuable (solely based on my observations, right or wrong) older models. I think if the panther wagon had an average market value (excluding The Family Truckster) the average would be closer to (possibly lower than) what it sold for back in September.
Now if they manage to sell it for $23k, good for them and also good for those of you who already own one. Although I agree the movie reference is not helping, possibly hurting because it's only a slap on sales attempt. I'm definitely curious to see what happens either way with the sale.

That one hard line looks interesting to me.
Now turned to an auction ending this evening :

Haha went for even less money than the original BAT auction (where the car was purchased) and less than the first time they opened it up for auction on ebay.
2,550 this time.
Holy ...i missed this. It was bid up to 6600 back in december!

How much did it sell for when it was BAT?
I kind of want to call them to find out if they are a) high on crack and b) entertain myself by haggling with them. Who knows maybe they will come to their senses.

around 3K IIRC.

No worries. I believe it is someone selling under the name of that place...not necessarily that place owning the vehicle.
Still it was bid up to 6600 already and they are still trying for more. This time more got them to 2500.
There are fees on top f the sell price so it would have to sell for more than 3k to break even, but if it sold for 3k on BAT, its not likely to sell for grossly more than that a second time if nothing has been done to the car.
