NOS fan clutches are a must have if you haven't retrofitted to an electric fan. I went through three aftermarket clutches in six months in my '90.

That's so cool. I'm half tempted to buy it and add it as a second 80s anti theft device on my Grand Marquis just because.

I have one...just to have...stored in a box. I did test it out on the workbench just to see if things were working right in case I ever decide to use it. Both my car and my fathers mustang (85) had a similar device at one point in time. I like it for the nostalgic factor.

Looks like that fan clutch is for tow package cars. IIRC tow package/heavy duty fan clutches lockup 80-90% whereas a standard duty one locks up about 60%. Did the tow package cars get a different fan blade too? I was going to pick this up but I have a non-tow package car and don’t want to grenade the fan.

Is this a dealer thing or something available from the factory? Looks like it would be from an aero MGM.

Not sure if they were factory but I know they were for special edition "Palm Beach" GM's - mainly to cater to the South Florida customer base.

I picked up one of those from that same seller a while back. Nice piece. I bought it because the circuit on my GM was damaged and the fuel gauge didn't work. I ended up fixing that with a used CV cluster.

Any idea what the difference is between this circuit and the -B circuit? The -A circuit has one extra trace on it.

You can see in this photo how they pieced four door molding together to fit a two door:

    Someones labor of love.

For those wondering....Two doors were never made after 87. This body sports newer front end as well as body moldings. Curious how the rear end wound up.
