    transmission work

Tentatively, I am planning on going to SF this year.
right now the plan is go a week early and help scott with some stuff around the shop and maybe build, repair a few AOD transmission for him.
I will have all my tools, so I can do some minor AOD repairs and/or install a few shift kits for other people, BUT you gotta let me know ahead of time what you want done so I can order the parts and schedule the time for it.

Again... this all just in the planning stages, it could fall apart real quick.
I have been out of work for over a year, so my job search takes priority.
Money is short and the wife and I go on vacation 3 weeks after I would get back.

If you're coming up, I might be interested in having something done with the Mark VII. It needs a shift kit, and its got that screwed up 4-3 downshift I've talked to you about before.

the shift improver kit from trans-go along with properly adjusting the TV pressure (with a gauge) should solve the problems on both cars.

Scott... my CV does something similar and I found the TV cable is binding internally.
might need to lube your cable, if not replace it.

Im definitely interested - but do you really want to work during scottfest??

Im interested in a mild shift kit, or at least having my TV pressure set by a pro.
I can paypal you money for the shift kit if that works for you. My pan has a drain plug, does that get me a discount?

oh, and would you have a source for the HO governer? My Mark seems to have the lopo one, it shifts at 4300 WOT. If you'd prefer, I can paypal you some bucks to pick up the stuff, or tell me what to get and I'll get it. I might be able to get the Mark up there a week beforehand, or maybe I could drop you guys some cash to just come down here and pick it up for me.

I have got the normal shift improver installation down to about 2-3 hrs, which includes setting the TV pressure afterwards.
I haven't installed an HP shift kit, so I am not sure what's involved or how long it would take.

swapping govenors is a tad more involved, since the driveshaft and tail shaft housing have to come off.
sometimes you can squeak the tail shaft housing by with the exhaust installed, sometimes not.
