My 1991 LTD Crown Victoria LX

Just doing pics first, since I finally gave my CV some long overdue waxing!
Oh yeah, and how you mangs like the last 3 #'s of my plate?

I'm thinking one of these will be my new avatar, probably the last one.
Might as well add some interior pics while I'm at it.

Nice man! looks real clean, It takes a while to wax these cars and do a good job. From the looks of your engine and interior it looks like a low milage car. Keep it up man

      Thanks!

Mileage was 78k when I got it. (about a month and a half ago) (up over 80k now)

      Okay.......car history commin' up:

This car was bought by an older couple on Jan, 3rd, 1991 as a used car, from Johnson Ford-Lincoln-Mercury in Pittsfield Massachusetts.
So, I'm guessing it must have been a demonstrator?
They traded in a 1979 Mercury Monarch 2-door. (they got a whopping $1249.00 for it).
Listed price on the Crown Vic was $15999.00

The gentleman's wife passed in 1998, hence the car was re-titled in his name only in 1999 with a mileage reading of 60,047 miles.

He was an investigator for the DMV and the car still had a CB antenna on it when I got it.

He passed in July of 2007. His family donated the car to charity.
A junkyard (of all places) in Londonderry New Hampshire bought it at the charities' auction.
I saw it advertised on craigslist.......and $1700 later it was mine.

So in essence (if not fact)......I basically got a 1-owner car.

It looks really nice and very similar to mine, probably same paint...speaking of which your paint is in better shape than mine and espically your top..WOW..LOL....My car was a one owner as well, the guy who bought it owned a carpet company, and the ironic thing is It was bought new from the same Ford dealership I used to work at..LOL

                          Nope.

The back ones are gettin' flimsy....I'm going to have to replace them.
Probably find some that have the ford logo on them.
