Check your codes, and your fuel pressure before you worry too much.
Also you can probably buy a whole box for 400 in a junkyard, LOL

    The car looks awesome.
I really need to dewood the HillbillySUV.

no codes are popping up, and after being stuck at the parts store checking the coil to see if it was good (read good) i replaced it and it started (the lil nipple was worn smooth soo the plug wire wasn't staying on), but still runs a lil crappy. replacing the fuel filter tomarrow. silly me couldn't find it cause i though that since all the fuel line ran on the drivers side, that the filter would be on that side too.. WRONG. i did see an other country squire in the spokane craigslist for 200 bux!!! but i would want to take all usable parts off of it that i could before scraping it, and i don't have the time, and my uncle is afraid of rust jumping over onto his classic bowties lol

ok we have made it back. woo hoo. went from dayton ohio to mt. rushmore, to spokane washington to pueblo, Co, to St. Louis, and back to Ohio. the last time calculated, we were getting a wooping 16mpg. looks like we have also blown the front intake gasket

IIRC the brake light can be triggered either by the parking brake pedal or the proportioning valve.

Nah, I don't like getting rust in my eyes...

Just kidding. Between work, the house, fixing the old place so it can be disposed of, and the youth group doubling in size recently, I've barely touched my car other than to drive it.

I'll be happy to answer any questions about putting a t-5 in your wife's wagon though.

                            back to this thread....
my wagon is NOT rusty, it has been undercoated and all that jazz. very clean car lol.

well here is the good news, fixed the brake issue a while ago. wife just put her foot under the ebrake pedle and pulled up. fixed. lol

the bad news fuel pump is close to dying (from what i can diagnose)
got put in the ditch yesterday due to some one not having a clue what they were doing, or where they were going. when i got pulled out, it took a while to get moving. 15-20 was the best i could do. more i pushed on the pedal, the more it bogged down. if i let it idle it would run fine. i pulled in to some ones drive way and gave it a brake then took off again. it realized it was going to get me home come hell or high snow, and decided to let me give it acceleration. got home and could hear the fuel pump whining so tried to "power brake" it to see how the fuel pump acted under a load, sure enough i could hear it stumbling. wondering if there might be crap in the tank, or a bad filter in the tank, or dying pump (or all 3)

any thoughts? I want to get this fixed, as it has come time to release to the public. we are moving to tn, and the wife needed something better on gas, as she will have to come back up this way often to keep her parents happy (got a subaru legacy wagon, nice car!)
