Welp finally fixed the issue with the door..(well not intirely) . My brother and I took off the switch panel and pulled at the lock rod with chanel locks thus freeing the lock and found out that it was getting stuck under the arm rest some how. But then as soon as we closed the door it automaticaly locks, but however does open from the inside now. So then we proceeded to see that the latch was sticking. and lubed it up along with everything else. But the door still locks by itself when you close the door. so now you have to unlock it and then open it. but it still opens from the inside no matter what. but atleast it opens...

By the way. on the door lock (key).. Lock is to the right and open is to the left on the passenger side, right ? I am asking this because when the door closes and locks I have to turn the key to the right to unlock it. (which is the lock postion on the drivers side)...and if so my passenger door is mor fucked up then i thought LOL.......

LOL ... nope, all my Panthers have had the key turn toward the front of the car to unlock. Odd, since I'm pretty sure all of my parents' '80s Fords (2 Escorts and a baby LTD) were the other way around like ca. 1990 small GMs.

Yup, that sounds right to me. But Like I said on the drivers side door..left is to unlock and right is to unlock but on the passenger side (the door with issues) its oposite....But just as long as it functions properly..LOL....These cars are giving me gray hair..LOL

lol ... actually, turning right to lock on the passenger side just means the mechanism over there is a mirror image of that on the driver's side of the car. :p Look at your hand and you'll notice that you're still turning the key toward the front of the car, regardless of whether it's clockwise or counterclockwise.
