    Need explorer cam specs

    What are the specs on the 96 explorer cams as far as lift and duration?

    .264" intake cam lift
    .280" exhaust cam lift
    256º intake duration
    266º exhaust duration
    intake valve opens 10º BTDC
    intake valves closes 66º ABDC
    exhaust valve opens 66º BBDC
    exhaust valve closes 20º ATDC
    30º overlap

    Lift is at the cam lobe. Multiply by 1.6 to get valve lift.
    86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

      .050" specs on a SpeedPro cam that Thain says is definitely an Exploder replacement (from Napa Online, as I recall):

      Exhaust Lift (mm) : 7.087 mm
      Intake Duration : 186 Deg.
      Intake Lift (Inches) : .263"

      Lobe Centerline (Exhaust) : 113 Deg.
      Lobe Centerline (Intake) : 118 Deg.
      Lope Separation : 115 Deg.
      Overlap : 47 Deg.

      Valve lift figures to .422/.448

        Werd.

        It is the same as the 351W truck cam and the other 302 trucks from 1994+.



        GM/CV/92-93 Truck Cam: Lift .237/.244 Duration 244/256

        HO Cam: Lift .278/.278 Duration 266/276

        94+ Truck/Explorer/Van: Lift .264/.280 Duration256/266 302 & 351W
