I believe a efi edelbrock super vic with a medium hieght elbow will also fit under the stock hood, as it only measures 1/2'' taller than a lightning intake. But it may be a little much for most people.

I think it's more that few GMNers want/can spend the bucks for an aftermarket EFI intake, and want stuff that will run OK with one stock ECM calibration or other. If I were to build a EFI motor, I'd be looking at the elbow concept pretty hard.

Well I can get a super Vic, throttle body elbow, and super Vic specific fuel rails for less money than I paid for my lightning intake, so in theory it is a cheaper option than a lightning intake.

True true, I believe an accufab 90mm is around $290.

                      question:
I just started with an HO block and intake, and moved all of my lopo stuff on to it. Never had a donor longblock.
Is there any reason why I would need the HO IAC, throttle position sensor, egr valve, or other HO sensors, or are the lopo ones the same/ operate in the same voltage ranges?

the only actuators that are any different are the fuel injectors. sensors are the same

Explorer intake is NOT 65mm, this was very misleading. It is in fact 70mm and I can provide picture proof if needed.
