Pipes on my car are 2.25". Not sure what model magnaflows I have. I need to measure them and figure that out since I keep getting asked....

Honestly, I still go back-and-forth about whether I should have bought factory pipes and had glasspacks put on....vs.....what I did. The bottom line (price) was about the same in my case. The lifetime warranty (parts AND labor) was the deciding factor for me.

Andy, just measure the case length and I should be able to find the number pretty quick. I have most of them on the computer now.

Hemihotrod, don't gut the cats, get rid of them or replace with 2 hi flow ones, gutting them, while maybe not a big deal on stock lopos is just another flow restriction.

2" exhaust will still sound decent, probably alot quieter, maybe a bit more of a snap to it.

Here are the 2 satin stainless that I'm guessin' would be likely to be under andymac's car.

        11235 14" case 2.25" offset in/out

        11265 18" case 2.25" offset in/out

lol, that question wasnt directed towards you , im in the same spot you are, sorry for the confusion

this has quickly turned into a wealth of knowledge. Ill prolly just do my original test with the muffler, and if i dont like it, i'll just shell out the cash for the H-pipe

here its alright to dump the exhaust at the axle and lots of people do it but depends what you want. Dumping it just cranks up the deep bass and saves the trouble and $$ with tails pipes. I have the same lopo motor with manifolds and the 4 cats. I put true duals on it with 3" flowmaster super 44's and turndowns. The pipes I bent myself from old street sign poles filled with sand and a bottle jack pipe bender. It sounds super smooth and rumbly, people ask me what i put under the hood and are disapointed when i say the stock 302. haha. I have a quick vid of its sound.
