Reason for selling?? Did you ever create a Reader's Rides thread for it?

                    some history

I asked the seller for more info. Here's the e-mail he sent me:

"I've own it for 2 years now, the New Maryland Meineke did work on it but couldn't get it going so i brought it to Trius where I work and they were able to get her going. I spent $1800 or more at the Meineke incl Brakes all around, gas line, fuel pump and carburetor rebuilt i have no receipts from them cause i was planning on keeping the car and wanted to save money so paid cash but I'm sure if you go over there they will tell you all the work was done. I have a receipt for $800+ at Trius Automotive where the installed the carb ,changed spark plugs wires and some clamps were rusted so they changed them they also changed the oil. The car starts and i drove it in the yard at Trius a few times but i noticed there was oil leaking so they checked it and told me that the rear crank seal needs replaced. I'm told that it's a big job could cost between $750 - $1000. The inside of the rear bumper is rusted out but i can get the inside piece made at our welding shop so there's no need to look for a rear bumper other then that it needs a paint job. It also comes with used tires i got from charlies used tires for $140. It's an awesome car and if i cant get at least $2000 cash for it I'm going to park it and wait until i can afford to fix her up. It was parked for 15 years before i had it,the last time it was registered was in 1995."

I love the 2 door town coupes. Would love to get one and put a mark vi front clip and rear trunk n lights and have a mark vi coupe on the long wheelbase.

Would love to have a town coupe and replace the front clip wit mark vi parts and the trunk and rear lights. Sort of long wheelbase mark vi coupe.

I haven't seen this car in a few years. I hope it's still kicking around.
