Last bit of bodywork.....hood. Or bonnet in the UK.
      Cowl induction!
For those that are following, the car has been channelled over the chassis so the engine sits higher in relation to the body. so it wont shut!
soooo, centre section cut and moved up so it does clear (after plenum machining to remove 5mm and egr casting removed and welded up for that little bit more clearance.

Any reason for hinging at front? Just curious. Either way that will be looking damn nice.

          Hi 87gtVIC.
Good question. Few reasons.....not in any particular order......gives me better access to the electronics and components at the rear of the engine bay. There are a few electronic components located inside the heater box I will need to modify as time goes on. Quite difficult when the hinges are at the back.
          Second.....to be different!
Third ..I want to use a linear actuator to open the hood, and there is more space to position that at the front with the hinges at the front also. In this way the hood will open further.

I'm going to have to review the progress over the years. I didn't realize this one had been in the works that long. How's it feel to be pretty close to done? And driving it?

Well, after 14 years, serious back injury, career ending, both parents death, youngest son badly injured but good things as well (!), the wagon is complete. Well 99.9% anyway.

Never thought i would do it but here it is. Sat on the rockers on the floor.

It was originally designed to be all green, but things change. Some things change a lot.

May not be the last post but ...who knows?

Not sure how many are still watching after all these years but hope its been enjoyable!
