Just rough up the exterior some more and it'll be worth double!

Someone had came up to me and was talking about the wagon. I mentioned how it needs a paint job and he said just to leave it that way since it makes it look more original. Someday I'll get it repainted because I want to, but I figured it was interesting someone found it just right like that.

I personally like seeing Boxes with healthy paint, but I realize age is a major factor along with the conditions in which the vehicle is exposed.

Its easier to take care of tired paint. Sometimes I wish I never opened up my can o' worms.

For the first time in years, she took me to work. 70 mile round trip and no issues. Kept it low, cruised at 60-65mph, brought back memories. But damn does she feel sluggish after commuting in a whale daily. Spent yesterday crawling around the car, ripping things out. CB radio and antenna came out first, train horns and air system followed shortly after. Plan is to reuse what I can in the Luxoliner and have the noise makers on my DD again.

I keep waffling back and forth about putting her on Craigslist to clear the driveway. I've been tempted to add another much older antique to the garage, not that it is the most economical decision right now...nearly bought an Edsel on Wednesday...

I can see upgrading from a box to an Edsel, but I might be the only other person on the planet that would do that.

Idk Gadget, considering the box isn't his primary mode of transportation anymore he can swap it for pretty much anything he desires more and it will be considered an upgrade simply because he likes the new toy more than the old one.

Edsels are way cooler than boxes are. Any car that comes with a giant chrome vagina built in has "cool" written all over it.

I'd trade for an Edsel. Get a wagon and confuse people with the direction of your turn signals at night.

Edsels are cool cars. My favorite is the 1958. The really rare one is the 1961. Made in late 1960 in Canada. Very few made.
Maybe buy one like this ? It was in the town in Ca. I used to liveClick image for larger version

Saturday, June 30th was the last day for my Panther pair.

Cherry treated me very well for twelve years, but it was time for her to move on to bigger and better things. I watched Hearsesrock drive her away as she pulled out of my driveway for the last time.

And with that brings the closing of the chapter...
