Oh, well one thing to consider is that most Camcorders record at the same level as cameras do. VGA quality is 640X480 @ 30fps, which is what my camera does, as well as most these days. Sorry, wont suck up this thread with camera tech anymore hehe.

Yeah , I have very little knowledge of video cameras. The last one I messed with was a big ol' Panasonic unit; and that was sixteen years ago. I know I have to get one when I rip into my 53 Ford PU, but I would also like one with decent sound quality (one that will pickup a nice sounding exhaust system w/o distortion). I should get some vids of my Chevelle before I get rid of it. I'll just shop around and look in Crutchfield for decent descriptions of what's out there.
