    {Drivetrain} 6 Speed manual for the 5.0s

I was looking around at some manual trannys that could go in beind that 5.0L, and found this. I guess its' common knowledge, but it's not up here anywhere, so I'm gonna post it.

A T56 6 Speed manual transmission can be mounted up behind the 5.0Ls. It would be really awesome to have. Right now with the wide ration AODs, 1st gear is 2.84, T56's 1st gear is 2.60 A little less, but you can make up for it in the final gear ratio. And with 6th having a ratio of .50, you can still cruies at super low RPMs.

Here is an articel I found on it.

Nice tranny except for the $2400 price tag and $3000 for the Viper-spec.

if you plan on doing some road racing it is the way to go, but for draggin a bullet-proof AOD or C-4 is a better path

Draggin is of course for the land of built automatics.

But for streetable perfomance, that 6 speed is where its at.

if i ever turn my car into a track day car then i will consider switching to a manual, but until then im staying automatic. in city driving that shifting gets old
