    energy suspension kit for '84?

    Theres this kits for 92 and up.

    Does anyone know if they would work on my 84?
    1984 CV tudor 351W, 4bbl, 5-speed best time in the 1/8 8.39 at 80 with 1.80 60ft time.

    92-97 kits work

    1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
    2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
    1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.
    1986 Toyota pickup with LSC wheels and 225/60/16 tires.
    2008 Hyundai Elantra future Revcon toad
    1987 TriBurner and 1986 Alaska stokers keeping me warm. (and some pesky oil heat)

    please be patient, rebuilding an empire!

        4.3151 for the front of your 84 mang.......the rear set also fits not sure of the number off the top of my head

            79 to mid 95 on the front
            the energy suspension catalog is wrong.....the front suspenion changed mid 95

              There is only one pair of bushings in the rear kit that aren't exactly correct. It's not enough that they don't work, it's just the reason they don't list it as compatible from 79-97. The upper arm bushings on the axle, do not have the slightly larger diameter end like the rest of the bushings (about 3/32" larger) and they are also just a little bit narrower. But the bushings still fits, it just takes a little persuasion to get the upper arm on far enough to get the bolt in.

                Did you notice a big difference when you swapped them out? Im going to be doing the springs and shocks while I rebuild the rearend. How much of a pain in the ass are all these bushings?

                    Bushings up front are easy to swap, but taking the suspension apart kind of sucks. Mostly the spring is a real pain in the balls. Once the arm is out, use a roofing torch and cook the rubber right out. Don't do it in your driveway if its concrete, it leaves ugly black marks. The neighbors might also complain about the smell if they're inclined to whine about things like that.

                        Very much, in the rear. Stiffer, both in bumps and in roll. Stiffening the bushings, has a side effect of also resisting rolling (basically like running a bigger anti-sway bar). Also fixed my wheel hop, so now I can pop the cluck out in 2nd gear and 4000rpm and in just roasts the tires nice and smooth.
