Put in 2 gallons, start the engine. Run it through the gears, then check. Add fluid a quart at a time till it starts to engage properly and gets on the dipstick, then add in smaller amounts as needed until it reads full. Once it reads full, drive it around the block, then check again. It will likely drop some the first time or so you drive it until fluid gets through all of the passages so make sure you check it a couple times to make sure its really full.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
