    Cobra 4v heads

    Ford Racing #397-M-6049(99)-GT

    What problems are there to dropping these onto my 08 4.slow?

    I have been told the blocks in the Cobras were different.

      TFS TW heads for the 4.6 would be much simpler, you'd have more room, and they'd also probably make more power with a decent set of cams.

        Yeah, TFS heads and cams would be the way to go.
        Can you put 4v heads on? Yes. Is it going to be an absolute pain in the ass? You bet your ass.
        You will have clearance issues with the wiper cowl.
        BUT!!!.....
        Since you have an 08, they have the revised front suspension, including the cross member. Which means, you'd be better off saving up money and getting a 4.6 (or 5.0) DOHC motor. Those will swap right in. That way, you can have the motor that you want built. And it would be certifiably BAD-ASS.

          ive heard that swapping the 4v heads on a 2v motor will drastically drop the compression
          -1999 P71 Crown vic X LAPD..
          -1966 mustang, 5.0 roller crate motor, t5 etc
          -1972 maverick 5.0 roller crate motor with EFI and a Lentech AOD
