Alright boys, back again. I've been doing a little more work. I got my rust around the lower door hinge reinforced (I havent hung the new door yet) But it is ready and less saggy at least. Got a nut welded on my rounded off drain plug and got the oil changed. I did a little more diagnosis on the belt problem and my water pump pulley was a little bent as well so I put a new pulley on there. HMMM I got my cig lighter and power mirrors functioning and got my xm fully installed. Vacuumed out the car and washed the windows, waiting for a nicer day to clean the rest of the interior.

My pride and joy I finally got my custom shifter made. Its about 2 inches taller than the stocker and has about 2.5 inches more pull back. Comes right to my hand now. If any of you taller gentlemen have drove a 5 speed mustang youll know the shifter is a little far away when the seat is all the way back, so I made my own. I made my own shifter on my old 2.3 mustang as well and it worked so well I did it to this one. Though the original was just a copy of the stocker because it broke in half.

Thats it lol. I am in love with this shifter. Its not finished yet, the handle will be black and it will be topped with a white hurst ball.

Here is the driving video. As you can see the long length doesn't slow me down much on the shifts lol. The microphone on my phone distorts really bad. So after I start moving I say ''This is a 1/4 mile run showing the new shifter'' Then at the end I say ''Thats it, sorry for the bad camera angles'' The action starts about 45 sec in.

Yea it needs new lights bad. But I must admit it's pretty low on the list lol. When the time comes it will get smoked ones, I have had themon every aero fox I have owned. I really like the looks.

I will check on the privacy of the vidEo but it probably won't be till morning. My Internet died and I'm stuck just using my phone now.

I know you will eventually be getting to the body work on the mustang...can you document that in this thread? I like hearing how people go about repairing things, I especially like seeing how the work was done.
