    Default Code 74

Got this code with the engine running.

74 Was brake depressed after engine ID was received ?
Brake On Off (BOO) signal open or short to ground - BOO
Can someone explain this to me a little more? I'm not sure I understand how to go about solving it.

dont worry about it..... it simply means you or who ever pulled the codes, didn't step on the brake pedal during an engine running test.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know I was supposed to hit the brakes. Book didn't say anything about it.

Some of the digital code readers tell you to do it. I got a code on mine because I shut the AC off while pulling codes. The digital ones are kinda fun, its like hit the brakes, to the left, to the right, brakes, jump on one foot, cluck like a chicken, etc.
