    Default Hypo's 88 Town Car

I realized I am probably going to be doing lots of mods to my car so I thought I should start my own thread
If a Mod can consolidate my other threads on other mods that would be cool , if not I'll start with today's
I added fog lamps . Got them all hooked up and one of the bulbs had blown,
but here are some pics anyway.

    Thanks David ,
I will pick up a bulb tomorrow , It bummed me out because I tested them before I put them in and they both worked.

Got the new bulb in , this is much better. Now I just need to aim them properly after dark .. I think my garage door should work as an aiming board

flat driveways and garage doors work well (or in my case... garage wall since I actually park my cars in the garage... well the Lincoln and the Vic. The MGM is the bastard step child so to speak and sits out in the rain).

A couple of more things I bought a 3G and started the installation/ upgrade too bad the junkyard unit was no good

So I did all the wiring for now until I get back to the yard to exchange the Alt. I ran the main charge wire along the lower intake and along the firewall to the passenger side .

But I did install my new fender braces , and I re painted my radiator brackets

ugh. The underhood of your town car is so clean. I have much work to do.

I too first purchased a junk 3g alt when I first wanted to install one. It happens unfortunately.

Its nice to have a charging system thats actually capable of keeping up with stock vehicle demands. Unfortunately for a lot of years very few vehicles really had that. I remember driving around in my 73 Volkswagen with its 30 amp generator, watching the lights dim and the wipers slow down at red lights.

    86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
5.0 HO, CompCams XE258,Scorpion 1.72 roller rockers, 3.55 K code rear, tow package, BHPerformance ported E7 heads, Tmoss Explorer intake, 65mm throttle body, Hedman 1 5/8" headers, 2.5" dual exhaust, ASP underdrive pulley

91 Lincoln Mark VII LSC SE, triple black (Timewarp) - poly front bushings, KYB struts and shocks, Holley SystemMax1 lower intake, SilverFox AOD valve body, 246k and counting

I agree 100% . I added two extra horns to my car and my headlights were dimming when I blew the horn .. not anymore

Thank you , I am trying to keep it nice to honor my Dad , he wanted a Town Car his whole life finally bought one when he was 69 years old , sadly he passed away at age 71 , Of course he would be disappointed in me if I didn't mod it some and make it "Mine"

sweet! its an awsome feeling when you can have a connection with a vehicle, and not just think of it as an appliance. even if that is what it is in the end.
