Thank you , I am trying to keep it nice to honor my Dad , he wanted a Town Car his whole life finally bought one when he was 69 years old , sadly he passed away at age 71 , Of course he would be disappointed in me if I didn't mod it some and make it "Mine"

sweet! its an awsome feeling when you can have a connection with a vehicle, and not just think of it as an appliance. even if that is what it is in the end.

Thats an 84 grille in that right? It definitely doesn't look like an 88 piece.

Well , to be honest you would know better than me , But I didnt change it , it was like that when Dad bought it . I changed the hood ornament and I removed the lenses between the headlights and painted the recesses behind them black other than that I haven't changed anything else in the front .........yet

How do I determine which grille I actually have?

84 and older grilles had straight slats. I think they all also had Lincoln badges on the upper corner of the grille shell which yours does not appear to have. That hood ornament is definitely an 87- part tho, 88 got a skinny star. Probably the hood ornament that threw me but if you replaced it, that would 'splain it.

My Dad liked the older style hood ornament better , he thought it fit better with the sail panel and trunk emblems . I agreed
