Hi, I'm Bryce from Southern California. I just heard about this site and decided to join. I've had a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis GS for a few months now and I love it. I found it on craigslist after I'd sold my truck, a 1991 F150 which was falling apart, it had about 300,000 miles and the transmission was ready to go along with other things. It had the 5.8 and only got about 8 mpg. Anyway I bought my car from a middle aged couple around here. They gave me a bunch of maintenance records along with it and told me that her name was Sarah, so that's what I'll call her. Its nice to be the only one in school who has this kind of car.
Anyway, She's got the 5.0 engine, 103k miles, and averages 17-20 mpg. She's got mostly the standard options that came with the GS package such as a single exhaust, spring suspension, etc. Normally I like the stock stereo, but the previous owners had put in a nice Kenwood stereo with a cassette deck thats easy to use. Oh, also the rear power windows don't work, but I don't really need them anyway.
I've had to replace the starter because the old one died. I also changed the oil with Castrol Syntec 20W-50, and 1 quart of Lucas.
I'll put some pictures here. The VIN says that the color is Light Titanium.
