ah fudge, I already said what they are in an earlier post. I'll probably install them this weekend, instead of cleaning out the '85 for scottfest like I should.Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

That's what the little ones are (they are only an inch long)... the ones I just destroyed today trying to install. I stretched them out fighting with them, so much that they wound up having the opposite of the intended effect, lol. I found a better method to do them and will try again later with some slightly less stiff ones!
I also accidentally ordered the big spring for a 150cc scooter, its way to big.
No wheelies till after scottfest I guess!Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

well! I've been playing with this more, and its only getting better.
I put the new better clutch springs in, properly, and it was good, until a clutch arm broke. Its made of monkey metal!
So I got a "high performance" clutch and clutch bell... very nice! It almost works like a stall converter, letting you rev it up a little like its in neutral before the clutch engages.
I've also recently put in a Kevlar drive belt, a doo-dad that helps the torque spring to not resonate, and some light slider weights for the variator (think centrifugally variable pulley)
I took a pic like a breakdown diagram of the two drive pulleys - you can sort of picture how they work, if you care to speculatePete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

some end-of-season updates....
As it was getting colder, I had been keeping the scooter at work and just riding it home for lunch and on weekends. As it got colder I rode it less, and the battery got weak. As it died on me trying to bring it inside one night, I gave it an angry kick-start and broke the assembly clean out of the transmission case cover. Luckily a replacement cover was only 39.95 delivered, and the parts weren't too hard to figure out how to re-assemble. Of course it doesn't feel like it fits as tight as the original, but this is getting sold in the spring (most likely, in the wake of getting a 150cc )Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements

And, a myriad of add-on LED lights and bulb conversions!
I used the smallest low-profile LED marker lights I could find, I found nice ones at Northern Tool. Two amber ones on the front sides, two red on the rear sides, and one red at the tip of the mud flap (its hard plastic) to replace the reflector.
I put amber LED 'globe' bulbs in the front signals and re-wired thier neighboring marker lights to burn as signals too, making one huge front turn signal. These work awesome at night and in the shade, but disappointingly the sun almost entirely cancels them out when it shines into the lenses. The lamps are positioned in such a way they collect a lot of sunlight, more than lights on most cars. Likewise for the rear, also awesome at night but crappy in direct sun. Good thing I put some bad-ass mini stalk LED turn signals on the rear, they are the brightest lights on the scooter day or night (except the headlight).
I also used three longer skinny red LED marker lights stacked above each other as an additional brake light... also very effective. The picture doesn't make it look much brighter than the stock rear tail light, but thats just the camera adjusting to the light (note the differences in the background darkness)
Plans for the next plastic motor bike will be about this times twoPete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements
