    I want to reactive this old Topic because I think my temp sensor is bad too. …

    It is heating until I change the temp settings, after this it wont heat anymore! So I wanna exchange the temp sensor under the dash but I can't find the replacement Motorcraft YH409 sensor anywhere! Is it still avaliable?

      Nope. No longer available. Check the corrugated hose going down to the firewall behind the glove box (accessible underneath). If that's come disconnected, it'll do weird stuff like that. It should plug into a nipple on the air plenum.
