    Trailer Hitch

So i want to get a trailer hitch for my 88 TC. Is their any brand anyone suggests? I was also thinking about looking in the junk yard. I'm guessing if i find one on any box it will fit my car, but what about areos and whales? If i find a hitch on one of them will it fit?

    thanks

REESE towing hitches are the ones you want imo

Any hitch from nearly any Panther should fit. Literally, up to 2010, I don't think you'll have any problems.

Also, get a class 3 hitch.

Most any with the large receiver are fine. Even if you aren't towing beyond what the capability of the small receiver is, the big ones are far more available. I think mine is a Valley.

when it comes to hitches, nothing less than class II imo. overkill is good. if you can, class III. draw tite and reese hitches seem to be the best. since you can get a good specific hitch for your car.

At work i've delivered tons of Draw Tite hitches, they're good quality hitches which is why customers order them.

Thanks guys, I will try to find a class II then. If not, i'll just buy one. I got a free 4' X 8' trailer from my dad. I don't have a truck so this is going to fill that need. I'm not planning on hauling anything heavy but i still want a good hitch.

Ironically, the best price I could find for my Reese Class II hitch was on amazon.

                      4x8 trailers FTW!

One thing to keep in mind is receiver size - Class II is 1.25", Class III is 2". A Class II is adequate for towing quite a lot, but it seems like most of the nifty accessories like hitch-mount cargo shelves are made for 2" receivers.
