    new from texas

new from texas and have a 87 grand marquis thats gonna get built to run in a destruction derby. car has already been stripped of all interior, wiring and glass. plans are to swap it over to a new intake and carb. im gonna be looking for a lot of info on the efi to carb swap..

before the flame wars start, just know that people here generally frown on derbys of these cars... and that's putting it lightly.

as for EFI to carb swaps... the only real pain in the ass is the TV cable. If you don't pull that thing (leave it hanging) the trans will burn itself up post haste. The rest is just intake swap and drop a carb on.

FYI... if you have all the trim peices in good shape... you should try selling them. lots of folks might want some parts.

I personally would like a set of the squared off tail lights to see how my 88 would look with a set.

Do you have the driver and passenger door light cover and the door jam switches? I would also like the emblems.

just tie the tv cable (the cable that goes from the throttle body to the transmission) off at full pressure, you dont need it to shift into second gear for a derby, and you will still have reverse
