As some of you know I have had a rpm related miss above 65mph for quite some time. The other day I decided to scan codes just for gits and shiggles. The only one I got was map sensor out of range, or map sensor out of calibration something like that I can't remember the number but it involved the map sensor. My question is could this whole miss be due to a bad vacuum line from the intake to the map sensor? That line and the one to the evap canister are the only two I haven't replaced.

MAP out of range could very well be a vacuum leak. Certainly cheap enough to be worth trying. The MAP itself seldom fails, but when they do it usually runs like its totally unhooked. I haven't seen or heard of one getting sort-of bad but its certainly not impossible.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
