The temporary exhaust shit broke today so I kicked em off. Gonna have to get some actual pipe now so I can fix it, and put the side pipes in. Let's just hope I don't get pulled over on my way to work the next couple days

Cobbled together a set of side pipes that I'm using for right now until I can get some pipe welded in in place of the cats. That's right, runnin true dual side pipes without mufflers. Bitchin

Got the exhaust welded up. Now gotta save some cash for the 351. Not gonna do the 5 speed swap till I put the motor in it cuz i don't know if the t45 will mate the the 351 or not

351w uses the same bolt pattern as a 302 (small block ford pattern). It does not use the same pattern as the 4.6 currently in your car.

Thanks sly. so my best bet would be probably from a 90 ' s 5.0?

well, Leroy is pretty fucked at the moment. drove him around today for the first time in a few weeks and he did fine other than the ticking...until tonight. I went to move him and all of a sudden my gauges went haywire and smoke started pouring out from under the hood. i raised the hood and the alternator ground wire had caught fire and melted the top of the case...whatever that did also fucked up my gauges, hoping it didnt kill my computer. this is seriously making me consider just saying fuck the 4.6 and swapping the motor and trans.

So I got the alternator on order for monday. Apparently the wire that burned up (goes to the BJB) is obsolete so I have to make one...im bad at this

If Ford doesn't have it... check other parts houses. They actually have the harnesses for lots of stuff. Alternator harnesses should be a common listing. Rock auto has the 3-wire connector for the regulator. If you need a charge cable... http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...Power-Wire-Kit

Thanks sly, though will that one work on my car? I seen it says the last year it fits is a 93. I also watched that video that's on there and they connected it to the starter solenoid, though mine is on the starter itself. Do you know where I would connect it on my car being a 2001?

not sure as I haven't seen the whale under-hood fuse box... if the battery cable going to that is the same as the aero... there should be a lug on the side it bolts to and you can attach it there. Try to follow the stock cable where it goes and see if that's correct. If not... you may have to rig it to the + battery terminal somehow.

Alright, thanks sly, I'll have to do that once I get a chance this weekend. I also pulled up the wiring diagram but I'm given no locations on anything

My list of things to do in oder to get Leroy ready to sell:

Install new alternator (in a box in my room)
                                Replace charging wire
                                Replace front brakes (maybe)
Get all my shit cleaned out of him
Steam clean the carpets and headliner
                                Clean seats
                                Get new floor mats
                                Remove stickers off back glass
Clean up headlights (have a resto kit at home)
Try to get that God awful white paint streak off of the right tail light (swiped a mailbox in the snow last winter)
Remove the 281 high performance badges
                                Wash
