    NOS Box Steering Wheels

Out on Ebay right now I came across a seller (stilwellsobsolete) with quite a few NOS Box Body steering wheels. Pricey, but worth it IMO if he has what you need.

Sweet! I bought the NOS front bumper for my MKVI from stilwellsobsolete.

Great people to deal with, and they actually take the time to package stuff well so it doesn't get damaged. Def recommended!

The one grey one (looks tan in pictures) is leather wrapped. I could never find a NOS blue leather wheel when I had my Townie. I ended up with a good used non-leather blue one I never got to put on. I sold it with the car.

getting almost impossible to find good leather wrapped steering wheels, one of these days going to drop one off at the shop down the street and see if ron can recover one.......so far the work he has done for us is excellent (vinyl top on thains towny, sail panels on nick sr's 84 gmq........haveing him revover my headliner in the dakota and the new overhead console i harvested for the dakota next) even that real clean 89 towny we been stripping has the leather coming apart on the wheel.

The leather wheels just don't hold up. My 89 LTC even 8-9 years ago was messed up at the top and it was a 70K mile car.

I've seen services online that recover the wheels, but I've never seen it done. The kits you can buy in the store just never look 100% IMHO.

I have a non-leather wheel that I need to clean up and stick on my car so I can drop the leather one off to Scott's guy. That wheel was in very nice shape 2-3 years ago but its starting to tear at the top. The leather replaced a sticky plastic wheel. I'm just hoping the decent non-leather wheel I found isn't going to be all sticky. Its filthy at the moment, and I haven't found motivation in the last 3 months to actually clean it. I've gotten so lazy about car stuff lately.

The non leather wheel I got was a little sticky too. The finish must wear off.
