yeah the individual flanges are a massive pain in the ass. The only ones I've ever seen work reliably are the stock HO headers. I don't know how Ford did it, but you can take those things off dozens of times and they go back on perfectly.

This project is going on hold for awhile as well as all my other projects, I had to be taken to the ER on tuesday, thought I was having a heart attack...thankfully EKG, bloodwork and chest X-rays came back good, now I have to see a cardiologist and possibly have a stress test...did I mention I have to pay for all of this out of pocket? So the money I had to get this going is already spent, a few thousand dollars is a lot easier to spend than it is to save up.

totally agree... i nabbed a recycled set of a fox, they were dinged a bit and definitely looked used. but got em for 60 bucks and used them on my 4.2 first try fit perfect, no leaks, nothing! WORLD of difference in sound. a bit torquier too IMHO

back on subject. price is a big issue for me. when i get a 5.0 swap into the Merc exhaust is gonna be a priority and would definitely look into a set depending on price

Thanks, I do have an appointment with a cardiologist next week...I think it's just stress related, BUT no doctor will treat me for anxiety or anything until I see a cardiologist, understandably so...I've had people tell me to just go to another doctor and tell them I have a lot of stress and not tell them about my trip to the ER...I'm not playing that game, I want to make sure I have a clean bill of health all the way around.

Cardiologist sent me for a stress test and everything is fine, now I have the long arduous task of stashing away some loot for this project again...it's ashame because the $3k I spent between the ER, cardiologist, stress test and regular doctors visits would have been a good start. I'm trying to see my way to making my own jigs and buying a small tig welder so I can completely fab them in-house...it wouldn't make them a whole lot cheaper, but there would be no minimum batch size...I still have to run a bunch of numbers...my brain is firing on all cylinders on the project, but I have no funds to go anywhere with it now...when I do get around to it, you guys will be the first to know.
