The brg on the right wont even spin in its cage. Did notice a small grove in the axle about were the seal might sit. Ordered a new axle this morning.

Got most of the rest of my front fork parts yesterday. This included a brg race installer remover (pricy). So removed and installed new races last night.

Back togeather and put about 50 miles testing new suspension. Next tuning the suspension. Think it needs less preload. Gut feeling the springs are too stiff.
Going to check current preload (set to nomal recomdations now). Going to min for the next shot.
Bike does handle way better than before. Some of that isnt only because of the springs and emulator.

Painted the headlight bucket was black. Because of wiring couldnt remove it without major wiring work. Painted gage cups were also black. Installed new rubber isolators on the gages. Guy had them on backwards and bill melted to the gage because of the gage lights.

Lookin' good! You mentioned that The MoCo only made this bike for one year, but you didn't mention what year and model she is. I did similar work on my Sportster, but really went a totally different direction after media blasting, LOL! I like what you did!

Model is a 86 FXRS - SP low rider SE. Going to do as much as possible without tearing the bike down to the frame. I have power coated a few bare frames and helped to paint them for a few guys and a local Harley bike shop (not a dealer). Wouldnt have them do any work for me.

Last week painted the front fender. Its the closest I could find to the bikes original color seen under the center chrome piece on top of the tank. Harley didnt keep records of paint back in the day.

Any rate it HD Sinester Blue Peril will be striped as was from factory
