TaylorMade ThunderVolt Spark Plug Wires vs. Ford Racing Wires

Got a 97 GM that is coming up on 100,000 miles. Anyone use the 10.4MM TaylorMade ThunderVolt spark plug wires, and if so, how do you like them? I had them on my old Buick Reatta years ago and they worked great on that application. Also looking at the Mustang Ford Racing 9mm wires possibly. Any recommendations?

The Ford Racing wires should be cheaper, I have ThunderVolt 10.4's on my '85 and I had to cut to length and terminate the cap side ends myself...if they make a set specific to the 4.6, I would strongly recommend them, if not, then I'd go with the Ford Racing wires.

    Good luck,
    Don

Just go with Ford Racing. The added size is pretty much worthless, and the added price is for nothing. I and many people here are quite happy with Ford Racing wires.

160KMs 600cfm holley, shorty headers, 2.5" catted exhaust, 255/295 tires, cop shocks, cop swaybars, underdrive pulley, 2.73L gears.
waiting for install: 3.27's, Poly bushings, boxed rear arms, 2500 stall converter, ported e7's, etc

06 Mazda 3 hatch 2.3L 5AT (winter beater that cost more than my summer car)

The ford racing are not usa made. You could try Standard or Msd. Can not swear they are usa but they were last time I used them. They may have two lines domestic and Oriental.

Worthless?...exceptional EMI and RFI suppression is worthless. I prefer not to have a bonus frequency coming through my radio that is rpm related. Anything less than the taylor wires and the RFI gives me false AFR readings, an o2 code and causes my battery light to flicker or even stay lit...granted I have a Mallory box and MSD coil and aftermarket EFI...but it's most certainly not worthless. If you have a stone stock car, FMS wires are fine.

          Good luck,

Thanks for all the good advice my fellow Panther bros. I will do a little more price comparison and then make my purchase this weekend.

Thanks Ryan, I found them on Summit Racing for 75 bucks. The TaylorMade 10.4's are 50 dollars more!

                    You're welcome.
I had to go find that thread. I forgot to move it when I posted it.
It's now in the performance mods sticky.

Taylor Street Thunder wires work as well as anything else on a stock engine, cost 52 bucks for your application and made down the street from me in Grandview Missouri. They work better then any other wires i've bought, i'll never cheap out on them again.
