I have impy tails on my Vic. I like them. I wanted to run nice stainless 2ft tips but it would then hang to low for my liking.

i was most worried about them fitting up under the towny. my main reason why is the fact that i cant weld even if i could we only have a stick which is harder for thin walled stuffs. and we dont have a lift of any sort except for a jack. so simplicity is a must

ANYWAY!.. .my main question was if those ones listed would fit. and the way im reading this, they should. so i think we'l go with the ones from rock auto. we should run an H but thats a shitload of clamps to worry about. in addition to this we gotta take into consideration the offset for the mufflers. which is also gonna be interesting.

We carry them both at work and i've looked at each in person and to me they look the same, both perforated. I've never actually run them, but I did have Flowtech Redhots which are louvered, they pop and sound like ass. Summit's are the same, louvered. At any rate, perforated glasspacks flow much better so you can't really go wrong with them.

After I bolted up the headers, H-pipe and the S-10 mid-pipes to my 85, , I drove it to a custom exhaust shop and they only charged me $60 to weld in the mufflers and tailpipes. I had spent more than that on various adapters, clamps, hangars, and a pipe expanding tool. I returned all that stuff and came out ahead!
Now, i was wearing my work shirt at the time, and my work at that time sent all their non bolt-on exhaust stuff to them. So, they may have been giving me a good deal so I would 'spread the word' that they do awesome work, which they most certainly did.
Trying to do this on your back in the driveway is a huge pain in the ass....

+1 on having a shop do the tails, for the price I wouldn't think it's worth the pain of trying to fit them with the car on jack stands or whatever in your driveway. Especially if your gonna weld them because I'm hesitant to do any welding underneath the car.
