is there actually room for a vacuum booster? Last time I saw under the hood of any fox body... there was nill and none for room over there.

Sorry I'm so far between updates. I've been working a lot. The Cobra irs I was going to pick up fell through. The guy just stopped answering my emails and texts, so I guess he must have sold it. Not much else has been happening. I've been out of town working so I can't really do anything.

My window motors are on there way out, getting worse each day. It's also developed an exhaust leak in the header area. But nothing I can do while I'm out of town.

Still tossing ideas on the front suspension. I've been doing a lot of reading of a mustang drift forum, they have some good mods for more steering angle and getting lower. I don't plan on drifting but more steering angle wouldn't hurt anything, as many of you know the stock fox steering angle is garbage. Some mods would make driving in tight quarters and parking much easier.

Other than that, still going strong and running smooth, this has to be one of my favorite cars I've owned.

Well I finally put the fender extensions, and lower valance on.

Now for the fun, my girlfriend traded her civic for an 01 dodge ram, 1500, ext cab, 2wd, 5.2, auto. Her dad used to have one and she always wanted one, and we needed a truck so, a dodge wouldn't have been my first choice but anyway lol.

So anyway, what this means is we no longer have a car that's gets good gas mileage. We often take road trips for car parts and things like that, so I figured I would trade the Lincoln off for something better on gas, but I just like the Lincoln to much. So before I jump in and trade it off, I'm going to attempt to hypermile the Lincoln.

Yes, you read that right hypermile a Lincoln, my goal is a 30 mpg average. Now before I had the rest of the front on I average between 20-22 with a best of 24. So 30 doesn't seem to outrageous. I want it to be easily repeatable though, not just every once and awhile, I want to be able to easily and regularly get 30mpg.

So like I said I got the rest of the front together, and I decided to block most of the upper grill and a little of the bottom as well. I'm also using some easy driving and coasting technique. Judging by the fuel Econ computer this tank should be around 27mpg I'm hoping, just with a grill block and driving styler.

Here she is at the moment, ill be testing like this for about 500 miles.

Future plans, electric fan, warm air intake, timing bump, some steelies with moon discs and low rolling resistance tires. I also would like to build a large air dam with a splitter and a front half belly pan.

A front air dam kind of like this one except completely smooth.

Ill let you know the mpg on this tank when I fill it up.

Just keep an eye on the temperature. I suspect with so much of the grille blocked off you may have heat trouble, at least in the summertime.

Yea it was a little higher than normal not to bad. It has a flex fan on it now and who ever put it on didn't even attempt to get it close to the radiator, and it doesn't have a shroud on it. It runs fairly cool now, so I think was a get the big electric fan on there it shouldn't be a problem. I am going to get a real gauge though, so I know what the temp actually is not just the N on normal lol.

That Lincoln in the Sarona pics is almost identical to the one my former neighbors had; except he had smaller wheels, a cowl induction hood, and Lambo doors (which didn't last long; probably too heavy for the hinges). I think he stripped the car down and gave it to his nephew.

That's going to be a nice car when you get done with it.

A flex fan? ewww. You'd probably get better results with a clutch fan using the Mustang fan. They have more blades than the stock goofy Lincoln fan, and you can actually get a new one at Napa. The Mustang fan is I think 9 blades, the Lincoln one is 7. They aren't equally spaced either, it looks like the 9 blade with 2 blades missing.

I've got a pretty strong electric fan that's going on it. Not sure what its off of, but it moves a lot of air.

We also have a strong cross wind today, I noticed in a stretch where the instant mpg usually reads 28, the best it would do today with the crosswind was 25.

So it's having a large impact on my mpg. Just thought that was interesting.

Well the first tank with the fender extensions on and the grill taped up is in. It got 23.2mpg, but the fender extensions weren't on for the first 50 miles and the weather was horrible for mileage. It was in the 20's most of the time and very windy. But either way, that's still 1.2mpg more than the last tank without the fender extensions and grill block, so ill take it.
Ill keep you updated as I go.

The Lincoln is gone, came across a trade with better mpg I couldn't say no to. Traded it for a '98 escort zx2, 5 speed, manual windows and locks, with now cruise. I should be able to get 35mpg out of it. Ill make a thread for it later.
