as long as the paint sticks to the car and the adhesive to the paint... there shouldn't be an issue (should actually be better than the clip-on factory ones as they catch a lot more crap over the years).

Got my trailer light harness put together. Looks factory. Now, just need to run a power wire to this converter, from the power box.
