You seal off the lines to the TBL. Recirc works in AC still. What that is supposed to do is force the heat to recirc when cold to prevent any air leaking through the fresh air inlet and to help warm the interior up a bit faster by pulling inside air. Its shut off by the time the engine reaches full temperature, and at that point recirc functions are controlled by the blend door being full hot or full cold. There is a valve that lives on top of the blend door assembly to control that. If you connect the lines together, it goes to recirc all the time.

no pressure could be air in the system or a leak anywhere. Bad radiator cap or an improperly made radiator that doesn't seal against the cap properly. A pressure tester is your friend to find such problems.

Cooler lines are on the back side of the EGR spacer, between the upper intake and the throttle body. Gaskets are between those parts.

ah... that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.
