ID:	1301117 the crown vic is an 89 bought for 400$ with 87k miles, needing much work after sitting for two years. The oil came out like syrup! Without typing every detail lets say this car now has 139k and has never left me stranded. I have performed many repairs with this site and you good people for reference. The merc is an 87 with 49k miles, tranny is shot! I dont understand the tv bushing is fine. Plans include explorer motor and 5 speed with trak loc for the mercury. The crown vic sees 5-600 miles a week,I will drive it daily until the wheels fall off or gas prices prevent me. by the way my name is Ross, thanks guys for helping me kill some of my free time.
1989 crown Vic daily driver 165k and counting!

+1, cool to have matching colour as well. Too bad the driver's seat on the CV is rough, the body looks great. I guess if you're going to "drive the wheels off," you're probably not too concerned! The GM will be sweet with a GT40/5spd swap

I was waiting for someone to comment on the ride hieght, in that pic with the steel wheels police springs in back and one full coil cut off the front. Sitting on the drive it looks right because of the angle, but on the street the rake was fuckin stupid! I would have taken pics but it was too damn embarrassing! The Merc's interior is perfect. I mean like new. The car sat outside on a farm for a few years, so it started too rust from underneath. Nothing too serious and I plan on painting or undercoating it. The dream is to take it on Power Tour!

Well sadly I had to let my 89 CV go just had to many problems,t]he main one being it was oil fouling the back to plugs about every 5 to 6 k and the loss of power that goes with that. So I bought a 91 to replace her a coworker nicknamed her The Throbber. I love it! she pulls harder and shifts smoother than the 89
ever did. Its worst feature is the farmer shot paint and slicktop conversion. overspray everywhere! and the paint is as course as a toads ass! Click image for larger version
