    Blower motor sudden inop

Just took my girlfriend back to her house and when I started up good ol Leroy the heat was working fine. after a few minutes of driving, the blower motor quit all of a sudden. When I switch the settings i can hear the blend door operating normally, but the blower motor is completely silent. i even shut off the car to see if i could hear any buzzing or humming from it but there was nothing. any ideas?

Or the blower motor speed controller. Most of the time you can just re-solder it and it works fine again.
