Reminds me of the '78 my dad had when I was a kid.

A freshly rebuilt 600cc Holley 4 bbl with my Holley Street Dominator intake after being sandblasted and cleared! It's not going to be a big power booster, but definitely an upgrade over stock!

I actually just had someone offer me $2500 for it, I was pretty tempted!

I had an Edelbrock 600cfm Performer and Street Dominator intake on my old 86 C10 with the GM 350/290hp. It ran decent, not quite enough carb, could've used a 650cfm carb but all that was on it when I bought it.

That'll be plenty for that 305, and I assume all the emissions has been ripped out of it, right?

Yep, all the emissions are long gone. I believe my 305 is only rated at around 150 hp, so it can use all the help it can get...

Man, talk about a quick starting car! Didn't even take you a quarter crank of the starter to turn her over. Makes me '89 seem wimpy/lacking in quick starting. Sounds great man, both at idle (cigarette boat chug-chug-chugging FTW) and under load (authortative and distinctive). What's more, there's no drone! I'm more than a little bit jealous of your exhaust.

                      Damnit, now I want a straight-piped, desmogged B-body to complement my '89.

Is that video with the new intake/carb or is that being installed on a snowy day?

This is still with the 2 bbl and stock intake, I think I'll just install the new setup in spring. It gives me time to save up and get a few other things too!

And yes, this things starts every time! I only have to pump it three times when cold, if it's warmed up, no pumps on the gas and it'll fire like this every time.

Sounds sort of like what my 86 Monte SS used to. It had a 203k 305 with long tubes and glass packs that were just hanging there. For an tired SBC it moved.
