Oh yeah and Germans and other things....
The engine oil fill cap is bright red and in plain sight. I guess from working on cars over the years (he's been a mechanic for his entire life) that red means transmission. He honestly thought he was in the correct spot.~David~

Buzz kill...
Put new wiper blades on the car today. Very easy to change out. Get the wiper in the up position and rotate 90 degrees and pull of the shaft.
Installed some Bosch AeroTwins!
I then lubed them up with some aerospace wiper blade treatment. You get a couple uses out of the pack so I used some on my dads truck.
Nice and new ready for inclement weather...
