Duh, I really do not know!

What is a "whale, and what is an aero"?

    #2
A whale is a Panther chassis car 98 and up.

Aero is a Panther chassis car from 92 to 97. The 90-91 Town Cars fall under the Aero designation I believe.
1990 MGM: $50 E7 heads, HO cam, Holley SysteMAX lower intake, HO upper intake with an Explorer TB. LSC ECM. Lincoln logs into stock dual exhaust. K&N drop in air filter. Wide ratio AOD, 2400 converter with a 3.08 one tire fire out back. Car is less slow now. Then there's the '92 Beater. Dual 2.25" exhaust with shiny tips. Rumbles nice. Super slow. Burns oil too.

What I'd like to know is how the whale got its nickname.

Personally, I think the 98+ Town Car looks like an upside down bathtub!

probably because they look a lot bigger than the aero. Its not actually, and a surprising number of those panels are actually the same.

I think it's because of the bulbous hoods for why the whale designation. I would love to get a whale and aero swap the front fascia.

                      It looks... disproportionate o.0

On the flip side, I've seen a aero Vic with a whale nose, and thought it was awesome. So IDK.
