How do you clean your vinyl top?

I'm finishing up winter prepping my Buick, and it has the tan full vinyl top. I know we've discussed this at length when I had my black '85, but it's been so long I'm sure the responses will have changed.

I've been planning on cleaning it with Meguiar's plastic / vinyl shine then going over it with Lexol leather conditioner, since I have both and do the same for my leather seats.

    Opinions?

I used the 303 leather/vinyl cleaner and then the protectant on the Lincoln. Left my hands 4 years later in the same shape I got it in except for the spots that were already "patched" opened up. And I probably didn't clean it as much as I should have.

What did you use on it?

Everyone on hear recommends the aerospace stuff but I haven't bought it yet in the mean time I just wash it with car wash soap and spray wax it and the water beads rights off. If it's dirty lexol makes good vinyl cleaner

I use the 303. Good stuff. The problems I have had with spray wax or other liquid stuff is what happens in the summer heat.

There seems to be a lot of dirt built up in the creases now too. I had the car at the parents over most of the summer, and the street in front of their house was torn up and completely redone, so a lot of that construction dirt is pretty deep in the crevices on it.

The 303 works better on my '87. The Meguiar's didn't hold up as well - maybe too hot and sunny down here...

Get a nice brush and lather everything up wiping away the lather before it dries.
