Something is weird about the ad. $4500, and he can't even be honest about the drivers fender? In one pic the fender is perfect with a WW tire and in another it's sporting a large dent and a black wall.
It is as cool color thought, I don't remember ever seeing one.

That is a nice Cougar. Interesting color. I agree that the seller should explain the damage. My wife had a 86 Cougar that was nice except for the 3.8 V-6. When we sold it, the buyer blew up the motor the next day. Going up a 4,000 foot mountain with his foot to the floor will do that. I did not give the buyer his money back due to obvious abuse.
Judging by the funky-ness going on under the hood and the difference in color between the firewall and the body I'd bet that is a cheap respray. Looks like straight shade paint to me, ugly straight shade too..
