    10$ Delphi fuel pump closeout at rock auto.

    Delphi FE0303

    For some reason they are only showing up under the 89 Country Squire, and nothing else, despite supposedly fitting most box panthers.
    I cross referenced the number and don't show it fitting a Town car, but most of the alternatives shown for this pump DO fit.


    Since someone cut a huge access hole in the trunk it'll be a breeze to swap, even if it mounts a bit different for some reason.
    At this price it might not be a bad idea to pick one up just in case.
    I ordered a second one to keep as a spare.

    Its that a drop-in pump/housing/strainer or just a generic pump motor/cartridge? did it show a picture?

        Miamibob beat me to it.
        I ordered mine the other day, and it showed up today. It looks like the picture, and encouragingly enough the box is marked "Made in USA".

            Normally I HATE replacing in tank pumps.
            This one was a breeze. God bless the former owner who cut a hole in the trunk to access the pump.
            I just swapped it out in a little over an hour. I was moving at a leisurely pace, sitting in the trunk and working by flashlight.

            The next time I need to swap a pump in a panther, I'm dropping the tank just enough so I can cut an access hole.
