Oh yeah, shouldn't have forgotten about him!

The hole had to be made a little bigger based on the mid shift position plate needing clearance. I should still be able to find a proper lower boot. I am hoping to use a 79-86 Mustang console/hurst boot, so it should all work out. Will be a nice place to put three gauges too!

It looks like I might be able to grab the trans hump for a Fox mustang and make it work. Then I can use a factory fox lower boot. Would be nice to have something look factory and not butchered haha

No, it's just waaaayyyyy cheaper to register there. Plus no inspection. GMGT was the only vehicle I own that WASN'T registered in Alabama.

          Keyword "was".

Made some progress today. Got the rest of the stock exhaust off (it was in rough shape) and got my stock manifolds off as well. I now have a smooth firewall ready to be worked on for the new booster/MC combo. I also cleaned a bunch of grime off my stock starter, which I am going to put back in for the time being. It feels good to make some progress, that's for sure!

I am looking into picking up a fox body manual tranny hump and fitting it in to help with this situation. It will also accept the lower boot to boot.

I wanna see the console installed.

I am just going with a console delete console like this:

hopefully that shows up. I will probably flip the console around so it sits tighter up to the seats.

Good work. Can't wait to see her roll!

I also threw my driver's seat in to see how the positioning is with the shifter and the seat. I think it's damned near perfect!

Do you know what shifter and model handle you are using?

It's a Chevelle/GTO shift stick. I forget the actual model number.

I can find it for you if you want.

If its not to difficult id appreciate it. There are a bunch of model number hurst sticks around and if yours pans out well I will add it to the list of potential sticks for my build.

How is your fifth gear placement with that shifter? I looks insanely close to the dash.

Fifth gear. The throws are pretty short.

                        This one's for you, Logan.

The work schedule has kinda slowed me down, but I have made some progress. Mostly in the parts gathering.

I need to go to a friend's house tomm to use his welder and weld up my pedals, and the air tube on the H pipe. Tonight I got my conversion u-joint so hopefully I can get that installed. I'll probably install the driveshaft on Friday with the headers and H pipe. Saturday I go out to AL for a couple days.

Must you have the air tube for the cats? Or are you welding the ports shut on the H-pipe?
