          Attempted to replace serp belt.
          Derp.
Seemed to be way too long. Didn't have time to mess with it. PN on old one indicates 91.5 the new one is the same... maybe I routed it wrong? May have time to try again tomorrow.

Was next to a truck the other day. It sounded awful. Then I realized it was the Mean one....
RPM dependant, wether moving or stationary... poked my head under the hood, couldn't tell if it was up high or down low. Oil 1/2 qt down. Got back to it a few days later, topped it off, no noise. Drove it for the 1st time since, noise is back. Full synthetic 10-30 with about 300 miles on it. HOWEVER oil change was done about 4 yrs ago, been sitting since. No time to look @ it today, going to a wedding.

The innards of 1 cat are loose & rattling.
Purchased a catted Pypes X pipe a few weeks ago, have not had time to install it.

Also been kind of down on power, backfired once, does not pull in higher rpms.
Rpl'd fuel filter, will check cap & rotor when I have time. Was installed 4-5 yrs ago & car just sat in garage till this summer. Don't recall if it was brass or crap aluminum.

my car was having some shuddering and general rough idle stuff, scraped the terminals in the cap and it stopped. It hadn't been run enough this year and the humidity caused the brass to fuzz up a bit.

Replacing clogged/rattling H pipe. Flow tube flange bolts came right off, header flange not so much....
2 came out easily, 1 stud broke, 1 nut rounded off. Sawzalled the h-pipe between flange & O2 sensor. when I could get on the nut headon it came off grudgingly.
The only way I could see to get the broken stud out of the header was to remove it & work on it on the bench. I figured that was half the job already so I ordered a set of Chrome BBK's. I could not find any 1 1/2" anywhere so I guess I'll be giving up some torque. The rest of the car is glaringly stock LOL.

Also The Struts & Quad shocks were installed a few weeks ago.

yeah I don't think anyone makes the 1.5" anymore, even though they are better on the stock engine. The 1 5/8" really aren't any better than the stock headers on a stock engine.

Is this car a coupe or a hatch?

That color was fairly low production if I recall.

156 5.0 LX hatch cars were built in medium yellow in 1987. Medium yellow was also referred to as "Jonquil", "Tropical Yellow" and Mimosa" over the years.

I think between '87-'89 fewer than 500 LX 5.0 hatch cars were built. I would have a Marti Report done, as it may be pretty uncommon if it has some unique options.

My Vermillion '90 LX hatch is one of 500 or so optioned that way.
