    Dear Panthers,
70 mph 6 am coming out of St Paul six lane interstate, SUV on my left's brakelights flash and I start for mine. He drops back and there's three deer. Hit the brakes - probably going about 35 when I hit her, tossed her over the passenger side of the windshield. Stopped in a cloud of blue brake smoke. The deer pusher protected the car. If I'd had the ABS I probably would have been able to stop. Odd feeling weeing a deer going over the roof.

And this right here is why I mentioned sending the deer over the roof, cause I know it can be done with the Panther car surviving it just fine

My "Deer incident" got the header panel, drivers side headlight bucket and mount, and drivers door... (Spun him around and he hit the door... ) Just be glad it didn't set off the airbag, as the sensor is right behind the headlights... At least on my car they are..

Pics of the completed repairs! Just got the car back today, drove home from WV. I still have some work to do changing the inner plugs to 4 prong so I can run 4 lo-hi at all times. Also, when I put the brights on, the outside ones dim (probably because the inside ones aren't plugged in. Also, I'm that asshole with his driver side headlight shining in people's eyes @ oncoming traffic (I figured this out from being flashed at three blocks from my street on the way home & then the pics).

What headlights are those??? Car does look pretty wicked with them, and from what I can see in the pictures the body work seems pretty decent as well.

Good to see it put back together. I'm also digging the lights.
1990 MGM: $50 E7 heads, HO cam, Holley SysteMAX lower intake, HO upper intake with an Explorer TB. LSC ECM. Lincoln logs into stock dual exhaust. K&N drop in air filter. Wide ratio AOD, 2400 converter with a 3.08 one tire fire out back. Car is less slow now. Then there's the '92 Beater. Dual 2.25" exhaust with shiny tips. Rumbles nice. Super slow. Burns oil too.

Indeed. Damn things are stupid but tasty when prepared properly.

I'm not a fan of the lights but the car looks good and great to see it fixed up again.

They're the same headlights 'Lazerbeans' has on his car that he keep redoing and changing the name on: http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...Rod-quot/page2 Came from everythingcarparts.com but I clicked on the old link in that thread and it 404'ed the direct one, and the main page says 'shop is closed for maintenance.'

Something I noticed coming home, there's a lot more flex in the hood over on the passenger side where it was unbent (wiggles on the hwy, probably to be expected). I think the gap is bigger on that side as well, but I'm not worried about it, it was a lot cheaper than the guy quoted me at the local body shop AND my uncle fixed the roof areas where it was cracking on both pillars and the driver side rear roof seam. It probably needed the hood replaced to be perfect, and if it were perfect, I probably would have hit another deer on the way home!

Also, it took me two years to put those headlights in/have them done.

check the height of the hood stop in that corner. Might just need adjustment.

+1 on the hood "bumpers", I bet the passenger-side one is screwed in too far down.

So them headlights are actually projectors? With the side being down, do you remember what you paid for a set of 4 lamps? Also how do they perform at night, do they produce light in beam pattern similar to what modern cars put out (lots of light on the road, with a sharp cutoff and full darkness beyond that)?
